You are cordially invited to participate in the 33rd Summer School and International Symposium on the Physics of Ionized Gases (SPIG 2026), taking place from
August 25 to 28, 2026, at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Belgrade, Serbia.
The conference is organized by the Institute of Physics Belgrade and the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
The program will start on the morning of August 25, featuring associated workshops and a welcome cocktail. It will conclude on August 28, with a full-day program followed by a conference dinner.

The SPIG 2026 follows a long tradition initiated over 60 years ago. The Conference covers a wide range of topics from fundamental studies to applications of ionized gases. From the beginning, special attention has been devoted to maintaining an exceptionally high level of quality of the conference by inviting the most distinguished experts in the field of ionized gas physics from around the world.
By organizing a summer school alongside the main part of the program, students and young researchers have been given the opportunity to learn and present their research results in an environment that brings together the world’s leading experts.

The conference program encompasses various topics within the physics of ionized gases, including atomic collision processes, interactions of particles and laser beams with materials, low-temperature plasmas, and general plasma physics.
